PURPOSE:To increase the moisture resistance of a nonaqueous battery by carrying out its sealing after a molecular sieve is inserted into a gasket provided with a penetrating or nonpenetrating hole. CONSTITUTION:A gasket 6 for a nonaqueous solution battery is made by forming a hole 4 with diameter of 2-5mm.phi between a raised section 2 and a raised section 3 which are respectively located outside and inside the seat section 1 of the gasket 6, then inserting a molecular sieve in the hole 4. Assembly of the battery is carried out by attaching a sealing plate 5 and the above gasket 6 to each other, packing a negative active material, pouring a given amount of electrolyte and inserting an electrolyte-holding member (nonwoven fabric) 8 also serving as a separator. On the other hand, a positive tablet agent is packed into an outer can 7. After that, the outer can 7 packed with the positive tablet agent is attached to the above sealing plate 5 to seal the battery. As a result, the moisture resistance of the nonaqueous solution battery is increased. Besides, increase in the resistance can be suppressed and the self deterioration rate can be improved. |
