The subject of the patent is a training apparatus in the form of a horizontal bar with two telescopically extensible hydraulic cylinders as supports, the cross-bar being attached to the end of the piston rods and hence being vertically adjustable by retraction and extension of the hydraulic cylinders. The apparatus is designed for exercises in the head-stand position. By means of a valve switch which controls the hydraulic cylinders, and is placed conveniently close to hand, the user can easily bring himself into the head-stand position or release himself therefrom.
