PURPOSE:To improve safety, by a method wherein, in a discharging device for a radioactive waste in a drum, the device is constituted such that a middle cover- mounted drum is attached in a sealing manner to the mounting opening of a case body, and a contained matter is transferred in a sealed condition to a following process through a storage part through rotation of the case body. CONSTITUTION:An outer cover is discovered, an open end part 9 of a drum 8, from which a middle cover is dismantled and to which a middle cover 7 is attached, is pressed against a drum connecting port 10 of a case body 3 by means of an elevator 64, the drum 8 is held by a drum holding device 50, and a space 65 between a cover body 27 and the middle cover 7 is secured in an airtight state. Thereafter, a projection 7a on the middle cover 7 is grasped by a chuck 38 through the working of an air cylinder 39, and the cover body 27 is moved upward to a position shown by a chain line togetherwith the middle cover 7 throigh the working of an air cylinder 37. The case body 3 is then rotated by an electric motor 21, and a contained matter 14 is transferred to a following process through a delivery port 16 and a fixed duct 61 by means of a storage part 15. This constitution prevents scattering of a waste matter and permits improvement of safety. |
