PURPOSE:To not only determine overall accuracy but also separate and extract the causes of various errors, by engaging a plurality of reference gears with a gear to be measured, and separating a plurality of signals, which are measured over one rotation into high frequency components and low frequency components. CONSTITUTION:The amounts of change in dimensions in the radial direction of a gear to be measured 101 are simultaneously measured as displacements in the radial directions of reference gears 103, 104, 105, and 106, by four displacement detectors 111, 112, 113, and 114. Four detected signals 11S and the like, which are measured over one rotation of the gear to be measured 101 are separated into high frequency components 115A and the like and low frequency components 115B and the like by signal discriminators 115 and the like. The high frequency components are caused by the flaws of the gear, change in gear thickness, pitch variation, deflection of tooth space, and the like. Abnormal signals 119S and the like are outputted to an operation processing part 123, where overall judgment is performed. Meanwhile, the low frequency components are inputted to the operation processing part, and true roundness, pitch circle diameter, and the slant amount of a center line are obtained. |
