Sealing arrangement for furnaces

An arrangement for sealing the connection point between a rotating furnace part and a stationary furnace part is described, such as is found for example in rotary tubular kilns, rotary hearth furnaces, drum-type furnaces and the like. The sealing arrangement comprises a rotating sealing part and a stationary sealing part which are pressed against each other in the axial direction. The stationary sealing part overlaps the rotating sealing part in a saddle-like manner and is mountd thereon in such a manner that it can carry out radial movements together with the rotating sealing part. Provided on both end sides of the rotating sealing part is in each case at least one sealing element. Both legs of the stationary sealing part are pressed against the sealing elements with the aid of elastic arrangements. <IMAGE>
