PURPOSE:To perform gasification of charged load efficiently by providing a stirrer having a propeller in a fermentation tank provided with a heater in the direction along the circular periphery of the fermentation tank. CONSTITUTION:A fermentation tank 1 is constructed to a cylindrical shape with fiber-reinforced plastic having a heat insulative sandwich structre, and a charging port 2 is provided to near the side wall thereof. A stirrer 3 attached with a propeller 4 is provided to a position in the direction of 60-90 deg. to the right side of the charging port 2 looking from the center of the fermentation tank 1. A controlling device 5 for controlling the frequency of a power source to be impressed to the motor is provided to reduce the rotation speed of the stirrer 3 and the mean flow rate of digested liquid 7 is restricted to 0.1-0.2m/sec. Further, the stirrer 3 is set to direct to the tangential direction against the wall of the fermentation tank 1, namely, in the direction along the circumference of the tank wall, to generate swirl flow in the tan 1. Smooth stirring is performed in this way.
