PURPOSE:To protect surely a lens after the end of photographing providing a lens protecting means to protect a face of a photographing lens opposite to an object and a control means controlling the lens protecting means closes when a voltage applied to a photoelectric converting means is a prescribed voltage or below by means of a voltage detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The voltage detecting circuit 7 activates a control circuit 8 when a power to a power input terminal 5 is disconnected or a power supply voltage is dropped to a prescribed voltage and operates the lens protecting means 9 to shut an incident light to the photographing lens 1. A lens cover 10 is supported freely turnably to a fixed shaft 12 implanted to a main body frame 11 of a video camera and the lens cover 10 is energized in the direction of arrow 14 at all times by a tension spring 13 tensed to the other end of the lens cover 10. Further, a latch part 10a provided to the other end of the lens cover 10 is engaged with a pin 15a of a solenoid 15 so as to prevent the lens cover 10 from being moved in the direction of the arrow 14. |
