PURPOSE:To disconnect the power supply of subsystems connected to a cable collectively and quickly with just an instruction given from a host computer, by giving a power supply breaking indication to plural subsystems from the host computer via an optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:The global addresses and instructions of plural loop interface devices 2 are produced from a host computer 1. These devices 2 connected to an optical fiber cable 8 recognize 9 a delivered break pattern and transfer it to processors 5 of subsystems 4 respectively. Thus the processor 5 gives a power supply breaking indication by software in response to a transferred breaking pattern after the end is confirmed for the job under execution. In response to the breaking indication, a breaking indicating device 11 applies a breaking signal to a power supply controller 6. Then the controller 6 gives an indication to a power supply device 7 to break the power supply. Thus the power supply is cut off to all subsystems 4 connected to the cable 8 with just a single operation. |
