PURPOSE:To produce novel esterase ON-1 by culturing a microbial strain belonging to Pseudomonas genus. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Pseudomonas genus and capable of producing esterase ON-1, e.g. Pseudomonas fluorescens IAM1057, is cultured in a nutrient medium to produce and accumulate esterase ON-1 mainly in the microbial cell. The cultured cells are collected, frozen, and thawed, and the esterase ON-1 is extracted. The extracted liquid is salted out with 30-60% saturated solution of ammonium sulfate, and the resultant crude esterase ON-1 is purified by chromatographic treatment to obtain the objective esterase ON-1. |
