The invention relates to a door element consisting of a frame made of metal and/or plastic and of an inner and an outer wood panelling which in each case is held on the frame by means of holders. It is characterised in that the holders are formed by rod-shaped elements which reach through openings in the frame and each of which is in each case held at one end on the surface of the outer wood panelling facing the frame and at the other end on the surface of the inner wood panelling facing the frame, and in that the openings have a cross-section which is greater than the cross-section of the rod-shaped elements.
