PURPOSE:To prevent a base plate from the generation of warpage or distortion, by directly graining the base plate using sapphire, and further forming a metal layer onto the base plate. CONSTITUTION:Brush processing using a diamond paste is applied to a base plate 1 comprising sapphire and graining is directly applied to the back surface 1a thereof while a metal layer 2 is formed to the grained back surface of the base plate 1. The metal layer 2 is formed by vapor deposition of silver or electroplating may be applied to the transparent conductive film preliminarily formed to the back surface 1a. By this method, because sapphire is extremely hard, shallow grooves are almost uniformly formed at the time of graining and grain can be uniformized and, because sapphire has an extremely flat surface, extremely beautiful gloss can be developed. |
