PURPOSE:To prevent collision at a transmission time by judging that the other- party processor is not communicating if an optical signal level is lower than a prescribed level and controlling an optical matrix switch to enter into the transmitting operation. CONSTITUTION:In case of transmission from a processor CP1 to a precessor CP3, whether the level of an optical signal D1 inputted to an optical signal detection input terminal of the processor CP1 is a rescribed level or not is judged. If this optical signal is lower than the prescribed level, the processor CP1 discriminates that the processor CP3 is not communicating, and the processor CP1 outputs a control optical signal which controls an optical switch S13. Thus, an input optical signal IN1 transmitted from the processor CP1 to an optical matrix switch MSW is transmitted to the processor CP3 in the reception side through optical switches S11 and S12 of the through mode, an optical switch S13 of the branch mode, and optical switches S23, S33, and S43 of the through mode. |
