GENERATOR OF SPECIAL EFFECT WAVEFORM

PURPOSE:To obtain a waveform generator of a TV special effect by processing both horizontal and vertical synchronous basic waves. CONSTITUTION:The output of a horizontal synchronous basic wave generating circuit 1 is supplied to the 1st and 3rd multiplier circuits 3 and 5. While the output of a vertical synchronous basic wave generator 2 is supplied to the 2nd and 4th multiplier circuits 4 and 6 respectively. The sine and cosine of the angle data supplied from a terminal 20 are calculated by the SIN and COS generating circuits 7 and 8 respectively. The output of the circuit 7 is supplied to the circuits 4 and 5: while the output of the circuit 8 is supplied to the circuits 3 and 6 for multiplication respectively. Then the outputs of circuits 3 and 4 are applied to an adder circuit 9; while the outputs of circuits 5 and 6 are applied to a subtractor circuit 10. Thus both addition and subtraction are carried out. The outputs of the circuits 9 and 10 are sliced by a fader through a waveform shaping circuit 11, and a special effect waveform is delivered through a terminal 22.
