PURPOSE:To reduce the stray capacity of a bit line and to reduce the power consumption by constituting a device so that a memory cell a has a capacity element having one of capacity values corresponding to information ''1'' and ''0'' and one end of the capacity element is connected to the bit line and the other is connected to a word line. CONSTITUTION:A memory cell Mij has a capacity element C having one of the first and the second capacity values corresponding to information ''1'' and ''0''. Then, one ends of capacity elements C of memory cells M11, M12...Mmn are connected to bit lines LBi respectively, and the other ends are connected to word lines LWj respectively. When information is read out from memory cells Mij, the current passing bit lines LBi, word lines LWj, and capacity elements of memory cells Mij is not flowed practically.
