PURPOSE:To improve the cooling capacity while to prevent frosting, in an air- conditioner for bus, by providing a plurality of fans to be driven by means of sub-engine or other power source independently. CONSTITUTION:Under cooling, a sub-engine 2 will drive one fan 81 to cool the room air fed through a suction port 5a by means of an evaporator 6 then blow out through a duct 11 and confluence 113. In case of insufficient air flow, a motor 9 will also rotate a fan 82 to blow out through a duct 112 and confluence 113 into the cabin thus to provide sufficient cooling effect while to protect the evaporator 6 from defrosting. Under warming, sub-engine 2 is stopped to further heat the hot water fed from main engine through a hot water heater 10 then feed to a warming heat collector 7. Thereafter, the fan 82 is driven by the motor 9 to blow out the hot air through the duct 112 and confluence 113 into the cabin. In such a manner, the cooling capacity is improved. |
