A supply lead for electrical apparatuses consisting of at least two cables (2, 3) and a plug coupling (4) is proposed, whose plug coupling is relieved of tension by means of a cable loop. The supply lead (1) itself carries a holder for fixing the cable loop. Said holder therefore does not need to be provided on the electrical apparatus or its handle itself. Plug couplings (4) which are remote from the apparatus can thus also be relieved of tension by means of a cable loop. A plug (5) having a sleeve (9) which is at the same time a handle and has a holder (7) with hooks (8) causes scarcely any added costs in manufacture. The handling of the holder (7) is so easily understood that it does not need to be especially explained. Holders (10, 11, 12) which are designed as loose components and are supported by the supply lead (1) are also specified. <IMAGE>
