In order to improve the spinning result, the yarn extraction point (8) projecting into the spinning rotor and intended for the continuously drawn-off yarn has a transverse-vibration generator (19). The transverse-vibration generator (19) possesses a narrowing (21) through which the yarn runs and which has bulges extending transversely relative to the run of the yarn.
