A process is described for concentrating hydrogen peroxide from a relatively dilute solution of the hydrogen peroxide with water, the concentrated hydrogen peroxide being passed in the vapour phase to a sterilisation chamber. The process includes the evaporation of a relatively large portion of water from the solution, the steam generated as a result being withdrawn, prior to the concentrated hydrogen peroxide vapour being injected into the sterilisation chamber.
