The invention relates to a sailboard which can be set aside and transported in the completely assembled state and consists of a board, a sail which ends with a stocking seam having at least one opening, a main boom, and a mast with a mast foot which has a universal joint insertable into the board and permits the mast to be folded over onto the board. The mast has transverse discontinuity which defines two separate sections of the mast: a top and a bottom section. The two sections can be folded in relation to one another by up to about 180 DEG of their straight position, the discontinuity essentially being located at the height of the opening of the sail seam. The total length of the folded mast lying on the board is advantageously essentially equal to the length of the board. The mast has a device which permits the folding of the two sections as well as the connection and stiffening of the sections in the straight position.
