PURPOSE:To prevent an abrupt pressure rise in a transparent scale pipe which flows fluid to be measured from above by providing the transparent scale pipe and a stopper arranged above the transparent scale pipe. CONSTITUTION:The flowmeter 10 has the transparent scale pipe 20 raised so as to flow the fluid to be measured from above, the stopper 30 is arranged above the transparent scale pipe 20, and a float 40 floated in the fluid to be measured which flows in the transparent scale pipe 20 has an internal pressure runoff part in its top end surface. Consequently, when the float enter a scale-over state, the valve operation of the float itself is prevented, an abrupt pressure rise in the transparent scale pipe is eliminated, and a breakage in the scale pipe due to the pressure rise is prevented. |
