Safety ski binding

The binding has a front retainer unit held pivoted on the ski, and a sole retainer which may be moved sidewards against an elastic system. A second retainer, for the boot heel, may be moved about a horizontal axis against that system. A plate for the boot sole is provided between the two retainers and is pivoted about a vertical journal. The plate (4) has a front vertical element (15) which supports itself against the front vertical section (6a) of the ski boot. The plate also carries the heel retainer (3).
