PURPOSE:To improve detection sensitivity by the cathode plates or the anode plates by connecting prescribed auxiliary electrode plates on the sides of the front and rear edges of at least eigher of the cathode and anode plates. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary electrode plates 31 made by vacuum evaporation of a signal electrode on an insulating plastic film 32 are stuck to the inside of a casing or an incident window. In said electrode plate 31, rectangular signal electrodes 61 are formed on a plastic film 32 at proper intervals by vacuum evaporation, while each of said signal electrodes 61 is connected with a lead wire 62 respectively. Said electrode plates 31 are so jointed that the sides of the films 32 may face inside the X-ray incidence window 3 and the casing. Thereby, it is so fitted that the cathode plates 6 and the anode plates 7 may be positioned on the parts having no electrodes 61. Thereby, ion charge does not reach the incidence window and the casing rear part while being caught by the cathode plates thus improving the detection sensitivity. |
