PURPOSE:To obtain a device which can short the measuring time by using as a bias power source of a Gunn oscillator and a Gunn diode a power source in which pulses and a DC are superposed and providing a device for measuring the power and the frequency of a microwave oscillation signal. CONSTITUTION:A Gunn diode element 1 to be measured is mounted on an oscillator 2. To raise the temperature of the element 1, a DC power source 3 is connected to the element 1. Further, a pulse generator 7 is connected to the element 1, pulses having a pulse width and a repetition frequency of (t3-t2), (t3-t1) as shown are outputted from the generator 7. This device superposes the DC voltage and the pulse voltage to perform a voltage waveform as shown. The frequency and the power of a microwave by the oscillator are obtained by an absorption type frequency meter 10 and a detector 11. The output of the detector is measured in an oscilloscope 13. The specified operating voltage V1 of the Gunn diode is measured by the oscilloscope 13.
