PURPOSE:To improve the sureness, efficiency and manpower lessening of a clamping operation as far as possible by changing over grasping pawls to the state of acting the grasping and to the state of releasing the grasping by the actuation of a cam mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a cam plate 4A of a cam mechanism 4 is turned around the fulcrum shaft for rotation until the cam plate contacts with a stopper 4C, grasping pawls 2, 3 are turned around pins 2A, 3A via balls 2E, 3E and an adjusting mechanism 6 and are thus actuated to the state of acting grasping. A pipe P is then grasped and held by the V-shaped surfaces 2a, 3a for acting grasping of the grasping members 2C, 3C of the pawls 2, 3. When the cam plate 4A is turned to contact with a stopper 4D, the pawls 2, 3 are actuated into the state of releasing the grasping. The members 2C, 3C are exchangeable according to the diameter of the pipe. |
