The invention concerns running gear for rack assemblies with a frame structure consisting of longitudinal beams and supporting crossbars, connecting the longitudinal beams, for running wheels and drive wheels, the drive wheels being arranged on a drive shaft which is parallel to the longitudinal beams and the drive shaft being divided up into shaft sections in conjunction with the series connection of couplings. The couplings are star-disc couplings, each consisting of two congruent star discs with radial flexurally elastic coupling arms for the formation of elastic coupling zones, the coupling arms being releasably connected to one another in the region of their free ends. The star-disc couplings are suitable for compensating for longitudinal and angular tolerances. <IMAGE>
