发明名称 SWIRL CONTROL OF DIESEL ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To make an engine exhibit its good performance in the whole range of rotating speeds, especially to improve the startability at low temperature, by making the swirl low when operating the engine at a low/high rotating speed and by making the swirl high when operating the engine at a middle rotating speed. CONSTITUTION:When the water temperature detected by a water temperature sensor 14 is higher than the prescribed value, if the rotating speed of an engine is detected low or high by a rotating speed sensor 15, a control unit 13 closes an electromagnetic valve 13 and a bypass port 8 is opened. A part of the intake air passes through the bypass port 8 and flows into the outlet side of an intake port 7; therefore, a whirling flow by the intake port 7 is weakened down to low swirl. At the time of a middle speed rotation, an electromagnetic valve 12 is opened, and the air is led into an air cylinder 9 from an air tank 11; and the bypass port 8 is closed and the swirl becomes high. When the temperature of the cooling water of engine is lower than the prescribed value, it is always operated at a low swirl regardless of the rotating speed of the engine.
