PURPOSE:To obtain a positively chargeable toner positively triboelectrifiable in a proper level uniformly distributable on every particle, almost unchangeable with lapse of time, causing extremely small fog and scattering, and having susperior characteristics by incorporating a (meth)acrylate-vinyl ester copolymer and a colorant. CONSTITUTION:The present toner contains a copolymer composed of monomer units of 95-30wt% 1-18C alkyl (meth)acrylate and 5-70wt% vinyl ester, such as vinyl 1-18C aliphatic carboxylate or optionally substd. aromatic carboxylate. The toner is prepared by preliminarily mixing the copolymer, a colorant, and additives each in powder, then, melt mixing them to form a uniform dispersion, after cooling, pulverizing them with an air jet type pulverizer, and simultaneously calssifying them. |
