PURPOSE:To decrease the data fetch time by writing data from the 1st storage section in the 2nd storage section not through an error detection correcting device and checking an error in parallel therewith. CONSTITUTION:Data read from a main storage section in set to a main storage data register 2 at first. Then it is set to a move-in data register 6, a parity is added and the result is written in a buffer storage device 12. The error check 7 of the move-in data of the register 6 is conducted in parallel with the write phase and the presence of the erro and a syndrome are stored in a syndrome stack 10. When the write in the device 12 is finished, the content of the device 12 written with the data having an error is read by the information of the stack 10 and it is set to a buffer storage read data register 13, the error is corrected, a parity is added thereto and the result is rewritten in the device 12. If an error impossible for correction is detected, the data written in the storage section 12 is made ineffective. |
