A substantially closed area (7) is arranged in the motor chamber (2), and the area (7) is connected to the passenger compartment (3) via at least one first air outlet opening (18) in order to supply air from the area (7) into the passenger compartment (3). The area (7) is additionally connected to the air outside of the motor vehicle (1) via at least one air inlet opening (13) in order to supply air from outside of the motor vehicle into the area (7). Furthermore, the area (7) is connected to at least one second air outlet opening (14) in order to discharge air out of the area (7).
