PURPOSE:To improve the safety of a worker and the efficiency of work by installing a drill holder, a metallic rod skid and a device for picking a drill out of the holder and a metallic rod out of the skid so that the attachment of a drill and a metallic rod to a machine for piercing a tap hole and the detachment of them can be mechanized. CONSTITUTION:A machine for exchanging a drill and a metallic rod for a machine for piercing a tap hole in a blast furnace is composed of a drill holder 2, a metallic rod skid 3, a device 4 for picking a drill 20 out of the holder 2 and a metallic rod 30 out of the skid 3, a device 5 for attaching and detaching a drill and a metallic rod, and a device 6 for recovering an old metallic rod. The device 5 is composed of plural feed devices 510 each having grips 500 for gripping a drill 20 and a metallic rod 30 and capable of sliding in a direction perpendicular to their axes, an inserting device for moving a drill 20 and a metallic rod 30, and a lifter 530 for lifting the inserting device and the devices 510 up or down. |
