PURPOSE:To provide the titled apparatus which produces a fine metallic wire having a uniform circular section by the constitution consisting in providing circumferentially partition plates to the inside circumferential surface of a cylindrical drum under rotation, ejecting a molten metal into the liquid layer formed to the inside circumferential surface and solidifying the molten metal by quick cooling. CONSTITUTION:A titled apparatus forms a fine metallic wire 206 by forming a liquid layer by centrifugal force on the inside circumferential surface of a cylindrical drum 201 under rotation, ejecting a molten metal from a crucible 209 by gaseous pressure into the liquid layer while subjecting an ejecting furnace system 216 consisting of the crucible 209 and a heater 210 to traverse motion 213 and solidifying the ejected metal flow by quick cooling. >=1 Row of partition plates 214, 214' regulating the width and depth of the liquid layers are circumferentially provided to the inside circumferential surface of the drum 210 having an optional length and broad width and the formation of the tine metallic wire 201 is accomplished in the channel 215 of the liquid layer formed by said plates. An additional improvement in production efficiency is made possible by constituting discontinuously the plates 214, etc. and forming continuously the fine metallic wires in the adjacent liquid layer channels. |
