PURPOSE:To simplify attaching work on an anode button welded on an electroconductive spring member, by applying frit glass to the anode button, inserting the anode button into an insertion hole, and conjoining the anode button to a cathode-ray tube at the same time as the conjoining of the funnel and faceplate of the tube. CONSTITUTION:An electroconductive spring member 11, which is connected to an electroconductive layer 5, is placed in a funnel 2 to which frit glass 12 is applied. An anode button 7 is put in an insertion hole 10 and spot-welded at the tip 7a on the spring member 11. After that, the anode button 7 is pulled out of the funnel 2, and frit glass 12' is applied to the peripheral surface of the button. The anode button 7 is then put in the insertion hole 10 again. A faceplate 1 is fitted on the funnel 2 so that the spring member 11 is brought into contact with an electroconductive layer 6. Heating is performed to melt the frit glass 12, 12' and then solidify it. According to this method, a jig is not needed, and the positioning and fixation of the anode button 7 are facilitated. The efficiency of attaching work on the anode button 7 is thus improved. |
