PURPOSE:To dehydrate satisfactorily even fluid sludge contg. 97-98% water by subjecting preliminarily the sludge to natural dehydration by a gravity dehydration zone prior to pressure dehydration. CONSTITUTION:The fluid sludge cntg. 97-98% water admitted into a sludge pool 36 is naturally dehydrated while the sludge passes a gravity dehydration zone 3 by which the water is decreased to about 95%. The sludge which is held sandwiched between an upper filter cloth 1 and a lower filter cloth 2 enters a pressurizing part 4 and while the sludge passes between rollers 12-13, the water is dehydrated to about 80% and the sludge is made into cake. The sludge cake enters a high pressurizing device 6 consisting of an upper caterpillar 24 and a lower caterpillar 25, an upper frame 26 and a lower frame 27, an upper high pressing roller 28 and a lower high pressing roller 29, a driving mechanism 30, etc. by which the water is dehydrated to about 65% and thereafter the sludge is discharged. |
