PURPOSE:To keep a system in a hot condition with minimum energy-consumption by installing a separately-set compressor or a blower which supplies minimum air required to keep a system in a hot condition during stop of the system. CONSTITUTION:When a system enters hot condition keeping operation from load operation, a separately-set compressor or a blower 10 is started. An auxilialy furnace 4 is stopped, control valves 7 and 8 are closed, and a control valve 9 is opened. Since the temperature of a fuel cell main body 1 is kept manually, a control valve 5 is closed. A turbo-compressor 3 stops and air is supplied to a reformer 2 from the separately-set compressor or the blower 10. The compressor or blower has minimum capacity required to keep the reformer in a hot condition. Therefore, the reformer 2 burns only to keep hot condition. Since energy consumption of the compressor or blower is small, the system is kept in a hot condition at a minimum energy consumption rate. |
