PURPOSE:To dial assuredly by recording the bar codes corresponding to a telephone number on a card and reading the desired telephone number out of the bar codes to announce it. CONSTITUTION:The heat-sensitive transcription mechanisms 11-16 are provided in a main body 1 to record the bar codes corresponding a telephone number in response to a card put into the main body 1 through a card inserting part 1D. The numeric keys 2 are pushed successively to read the bar code signals corresponding to the telephone number. These read code signals are displayed at a display part 1B. At the same time, the mechanisms 11-16 are driven to record the read bar codes on the card 7. A changeover switch 18 is set in a display mode, and the recorded card 7 is put into a slit 4 of the port ID. Then the telephone number is displayed on the part 1B.
