PURPOSE:To inform assuredly a telephone number with use of a card by illuminating the bar codes corresponding to the telephone number recorded on a card by a light emitting means and detecting the reflected light by a photodetecting means to inform the telephone number to an informing means. CONSTITUTION:A telephone set TEL is set on a base part 15A of a telephone number informing device 15, and a visiting card 18 containing the recorded bar codes corresponding to a telephone number is put into a slit 16 of a card inserting part 15C. The insertion of the card 18 is detected by a microswitch 20, and nip rolls 19 are revolved to carry the card 18 inside. When a part of the card 18 where bar codes are recorded reaches a place right under an optical reading part 22, the reflected light of the bar codes irradiated by a light emitting means of the part 22 is read by a photodetecting means. Then the telephone number read and detected is displayed at a display part 15B of an informing means consisting of a liquid crystal display element LCD. Thus an assured dial operation is secured for a telephone by looking at the telephone number displayed at the part 15B. |
