PURPOSE:To accurately detect moisture, in an apparatus for detecting moisture in such a state that crushed cereal grains are held between the surface of a fixed electrode and that of a moving electrode, by controlling the rotary direction of a cereal grain crushing roll provided above the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Cereal grains received in a dryer 4 are supplied on a crushing roll 2 in a prescribed amount by a spiral 24 cooperated with the positive rotation of a motor 42 and a receiving seat 30 is rotated one time and a receiving part 33 is stopped at the opposed position directly above said receiving seat 30. The crushing roll 3 is rotated to a direction sending no cereal grains by the reverse rotation of a motor 38 and a moving electrode 2 is moved so as to approach a fixed electrode 1 and stopped. Succeedingly, the motor 38 is positively rotated and cereal grains are crushed by the crushing roll 3 to allow crushed cereal grains to accumulate on the receiving part 33. Subsequently, the motor 38 is reversely rotated to prevent the feed of cereal grains from the crushing roll 3 and the moving electrode 2 is moved to hold crushed cereal grains accumulated on the receiving part 33 between the surface thereof and that of the fixed electrode to detect moisture. |
