<p>Bis(triazinyl amino)stilbene derivs. of formula (I) are new: (where R1 is 1-6C alkyl, 3-4C alkenyl, cyclohexyl or 7-10C phenylalkyl; R2 is H, 1-6C alkyl, cyclohexyl, benzyl, OH-, CN-, SO3H- or CONH2- substd. 1-4C alkyl, 2-6C alkoxyalky, 2-6C hydroxyalkoxyalkyl, 4-6C alkoxyalkoxyalkyl or mono- or di(1-4C alkyl) amino, and R3 is H, 1-6C alkyl, OH-, CN- or SO3H-substd. 1-4C alkyl, 3-6C alkoxyalkyl or 3-6C hydroxyalkoxyalky, or NR2R3 is morpholino or a pyrrolidino, piperidino, hexamethylenimino or piperazine gp. opt. mono- or disubstd. by 1-4C alkyl; M is H, alkali metal or opt. substd. ammonium; with the proviso that R1 must be Me cyclohexyl or alkenyl when one of R2 and R3 is hydroxyalkyl and the other is not hydroxyalkyl). (I) are useful as optical brighteners, esp. for cellulosic and polyamide materials such as textiles and paper.</p> |
