<p>An acidic aqueous coating solution to be applied to galvanized metals to increase their resistance to corrosion which contains from 0.1 to 10 g/l, based on fluoride content, of a fluoride-containing compound, and from 0.015 to 6 g/l, based on metal content, of a salt of cobalt, copper, iron, manganese, nickel, strontium or zinc. Optionally, a sequestrant and/or a polymer of a (meth)acrylic acid or ester thereof can also be present. The invention also relates to concentrates for preparing the coating solutions and to processes for using the coating solutions.</p> |
