This machine comprises a traction sleeve 8 which can be screwed onto a bolt 3 to be screwed and unscrewed, and a traction means 11 coupled to the sleeve 8 in order to exert a traction on the latter in the axial direction. The sleeve 8 and a nut 4 screwed onto the bolt 3 can be rotationally driven by the same motor 37 by means of a driving wheel 34, a driven wheel 13 and two friction couplings 14-16 and 23 which act respectively on the sleeve 8 and on a driving bush 21 in engagement with the nut 4. <IMAGE>
