PURPOSE:To obtain good recording characteristics by stabilizing the flying direction of ink droplets by a method in which a projected round portion is provided at the outlet of ink and the stream of air is uniformly directed toward the air outlet in every direction. CONSTITUTION:Air stream sent through air paths 10 and 10' from an air supply source is passed through two supply grooves 7 and 7' from two ways in an air supply thick-layer portion 12-2 and then always discharged through an air supply thin-layer portion 12-1 from an air outlet 8. Since, although the air stream in the portion away from the outlet 8 is mostly flowed to the incoming direction of air, the cross section of the portion 12-2 is large till near the outlet 8 and also the projected portion 21 is of a round form, the air stream in the neighborhood of the outlet 8 is uniformly flowed in every direction in relation to the outlet 8. Sufficient recording characteristics can thus be obtained. |
