PURPOSE:To make it possible to mass-produce a monoclonal antibody hopeful about a clinical diagnostic agent for cancer without problems of specificity nor necessity of organic synthesis, by transplanting a fes product which is carcinogenic gene of a cat sarcoma virus to a rat. CONSTITUTION:A fes carcinogenic gene which is a cat sarcoma virus is introduced into Y1 which is a rat fibroblast to carry out carcinogenesis. The resultant fes-3Y1 is transplanted to a rat to cancerate the rat. The splenic cell of the cancerated rat is then fused to Y3 which is rat myelomatous cell or Ag8-653 which is mouse myelomatous cell to afford a hybridoma, which is then cloned. Thus, the aimed monoclonal antibody to a carcinogenic gene product is obtained. |
