摘要 The invention relates to a probe arm change-over coupling for length-measuring devices. In order to be able to carry out the manifold measurement tasks on arbitrary workpieces, e.g. by means of coordinate-measuring instruments, it is necessary to change the probe arm. It should be possible for the length-measuring device to carry out this operation as quickly as possible, in an effectively reproducible fashion and automatically - e.g. in a computer-controlled fashion. The invention consists of an inner and an outer mating part. The two lock home statically and definitely at three bearing points under spring force. The contact surfaces at the bearing points consist of V-grooves and balls or similar shaped elements. The angle bisectors of the V-grooves lie in the plane defined by the three centres of the balls. One of the bearing points is spring-loaded in this plane. The balls lock home under spring force in the V-grooves under pretensioning. In addition, one of the V-grooves is provided with a depression resembling a tapered bore for the purpose of securing its position. The invention can be used advantageously on length-measuring devices or handling devices, and is in addition a very effective overload protection. <IMAGE>
