PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of rolls by forming elastic bodies on surfaces of a heat roll and a press-fixing roll constituting a fixing device in thih film- like so that the sum of thickness of these elastic bodies is a prescribed small value and peeling a fixing paper without bringing a peeling claw into contact with two rolls. CONSTITUTION:Elastic body layers 2a and 3a are formed on surfaces of a heat roll 2 and a press-fixing roll 3 constituting the fixing device so that the sum of thickness of these layers is >=1mm. and <=2.2mm., and rolls 2 and 3 are supported by supporting frames 1 and 1', and the fixing paper is allowed to pass between both rolls. Thus, the fixing paper is prevented from sticking to rolls, and unnecessary gloss of a toner image is avoided, and it is unnecessary to bring the peeling claw into contact with rolls, and the life or rolls is extended. |
