SHEET PRODUCT HAVING METALLIC GLOSS AND PATTERN ON SURFACE OF METALLIC FOIL AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To produce easily a sheet product having metallic gloss and pattern by printing and coating the design consisting of a thermoplastic resin on the surface of metallic foil, transferrring a metallic film deposited by evaporation on a film onto the surface thereof via a release agent, stripping the film and coating a transparent resin on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The pattern of the thermoplastic resin 2 consisting of a vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer is printed on the surface of Al foil 1 having about 20mum thickness and gloss. The metallic film 3 deposited by evaporation via the release agent on the film is transferred onto the pattern surface by thermocompression bonding and thereafter only the film is stripped and removed in the part of the release agent. The transparent resin film 4 is finally coated over the entire surface on the printed surface side of the Al foil 1, by which the large-sized or long-sized sheet formed with the pattern having the metallic gloss is easily produced.
