PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tow prepreg for providing a fiber reinforced composite material to which a matrix resin is impregnated sufficiently, having suppressed strength reduction of a molded article and excellent in physical properties with good productivity.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of tow prepreg by impregnating an epoxy resin composition into a carbon fiber bundle having single fiber degree of 1.0 dtex to 2.4 dtex and circularity of a cross section shape vertical to a fiber axis of the single fiber of 0.7 to 0.9. The circularity is a value calculated by the following formula (1), S and L are cross section area and peripheral length obtained from an image analysis by observing the shape of the cross section vertical to the fiber axis of the single fiber of the reinforced fiber with an optical microscope respectively.
