METHOD FOR LUBRICATING INNER SURFACE OF CASTING MOLD

A method for lubricating the inner surface of a casting mold, comprising: dispersing a solid lubricant and a binder in a solvent; coating the resulting dispersion on the entire inner surface of the mold; and baking the coated film at a suitable temperature. In a preferred form of the invention, a hard underlayer is formed by spray coating in a particular downstream zone of the mold before forming the baked lubricating film.
