PURPOSE:To attain efficient fault detection with simple constitution by controlling a switch and a storage section so as to return a communication data. CONSTITUTION:The communication data 11 generated in a communication equipment 1 is transmitted to a communication equipment 20 via a half-duplex line 5. The equipment 20 output the data 11, which is fed to a fault detection control section 9 via a terminal 98 and stored in a stored section 91 via a switch 92. When a controller of the fault output control section 9 decides the end of communication data, the communication data stored in the storage section 91 is transmitted via switches 95, 97 to a line 621 and returned to the communication equipment 20. The equipment 20 returns the communication data to the communication equipment 1 via the half-duplex line 5 to form a communication data 12. The communication equipment 1 compares the data 11 and 12 so as to decide the presence of an abnormality of the communication equipment 20. |
