PURPOSE:To perform a processing with a developer having always a certain liquid sensitivity by measuring a degree of elution of a non-image part of a photosensitive planographic printing plate after passing a development zone and supplying a certain quantity of a development replenisher to keep the viscosity of the developer if the degree of elution becomes lower than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The level of the degree of elution in which the replenisher should be supplied is preliminarily determined, and texture dirt in the non-image part is not caused in this level, and this level is obtained easily experimentally. The quantity of the development replenisher supplied one is <=10l per 40l prepared base quantity of the developer, and more desirably, <=4l. It is desirable to prove another sensor, and this sensor is provided in a position after passing the development zone, and a part A where development is not advanced practically for a certain time is provided in a part of the non-image part, and the degree of elution of the non-image part except the part A is measured by the second sensor, and the degree of elution of the part A is measured by the first sensor, and the difference between both measured values is measured. In parallel with this supply method, the variance of the degree of absorption of gaseous carbonic acid in air is detected to supply the replenisher by the quantity corresponding to fatique due to absorption, and thus, the developer activity is always kept constant. |
