PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of a zinc can effectively without using mercury by making a separator for a manganese cell by adding gallium salt into paste to be coated on a face contacting the zinc can by the separator. CONSTITUTION:Paste formed by adding bridge formation corn starch to water as paste maing agent and adding low-cast pin-gum and PVA as a binder, and adding gallium of 0.2-10wt% as zinc corrosion inhibitor in a form of gallium salt is coated on a kraft paper to produce a separator 10. And the separator covers positive pole mixture 14 with manganese dioxide as an active mater and charges so as to contact the paste coated face to a negative pole zinc can 14 to form a manganese cell. Therefore, without using mercury which requires prudent handling in various aspect, corrosion of the zinc can 14 can effectively be inhibited and problems of environmental pollution can be eliminat ed. |
